Mysore: With travel agents often complaining about the delay in finalizing Dasara events and updating them on the official website which affects tourist inflow, especially from abroad, the Mysore district administration is set to finalize the events, especially the cultural programmes and update them on the Dasara website, a fortnight in advance.
District in charge minister and Dasara Executive Chairperson, Mr V. Srinivasprasad who launched the Dasara Website for 2014 with added tourist friendly features, announced this here on Monday. He informed that, while 20 official Dasara sub committees which are being formed are shortlisting the Dasara events, non official committees will be finalized shortly. “We plan to finalize Dasara events much ahead of Dasara so that tourists can plan the trips in advance,” Mr Srinivasprasad said. This year, one can avail Dasara updates on not just facebook, but even on twitter and whatsapp. Also, public can post the photos clicked during Dasara and post it on the website through a window called Public eye at the website.
