Flipkart claims Xiaomi Mi Redmi 1S has full HD display

Flipkart is gearing up to launch the Mi Redmi 1S with the model number ‘Mi Redmi 1S 2013029’. A few days ago, Flipkart accidentally went live with the Redmi ad on their shopping website, giving away the specifications, with a possible blunder.

While the Xiaomi Mi Redmi 1S sports an HD display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, Flipkart’s website stated that the handset features a full HD 1920x1080 pixels.

The posting on Flipkart was an accident, and Flipkart took down the post immediately. However, Google’s cache still shows up the website’s posting. You can see it by clicking here.

Was this a mistake from Flipkart’s end or is it that the Redmi 1S will sport a full HD display for the Indian variant?

We are awaiting Xiaomi’s reply on an official confirmation.
