Government waived up to Rs 1 lakh in crop loan of farmers

Khammam: The Telangana state government has directed the district administration to complete the crop loan waiver scheme process by the end of the month.
Chief secretary Rajiv Sarma directed the district collector to ask the bankers to ready the list of farmers as per the format by August 23.
He said that the government waived up to Rs 1 lakh in crop loan of farmers and it was keen to complete the process as early as possible. The officials should compare the list of farmers under the scheme with the list of mandal-level banks already prepared, before August 26 and complete the process by August 31.
