LG G Watch 2 already? Are they serious?

LG plans on releasing the second version of the G Watch in less than a year

LG is rumoured to launch the next version of the Android wear smartwatch G Watch 2 next month.

According to a news report on The Korea Times, LG wants to become a serious game changer in the market and is in talks with top watchmakers to boost the brand.

"LG Electronics was working on a September release for the new smartwatch alongside Google's wearable platform. The IFA fair may be the venue to see the upgraded smartwatch," an official at LG told The Korea Times by telephone, last week.

He continued; "The debuts of the smartwatch will be coming at the IFA." IFA is Europe's biggest technology exhibition, which kicks off every September.

The new smartwatch will use an AMOLED display along with many more features.

LG’s G Watch 2 is said to compete with Apple’s iWatch, when they are both unveiled.

Is LG’s previous blunder of the G Watch’s charging terminal corroding with sweat the main reason behind the second version? The report also stated that LG refused to comment on anything regarding the LG G Watch 2.
