Andhra Pradesh readies welfare plan for Backward Caste, like SC and ST

Hyderabad: A sub-plan for backward classes and minorities on the lines of the one for SCs and STs is under active consideration of Andhra Pradesh government.

IT and minorities welfare minister Dr Palle Raghunath Reddy said the TD government is committed to welfare of the minorities and emphasis is being given for development of economically backward Muslims. He said it is the TD government increased the minorities budget to nearly Rs 1,000 crore.
