Mumbai: After sending his fans in a tizzy over his first ‘PK’ poster where he posed naked holding a transistor covering his modesty, Aamir has gone out to be fully-clothed for the second one.
The makers of ‘PK’ had earlier planned to unveil the second look of the film on August 15, 2014. Incidentally, as the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Happy New Year’ was slated to be out on the same day, Aamir decided to postpone the poster launch.
The nude poster not only created a lot of intrigue and chatter amongst people but many Bollywood stars expressed their opinions over it.
A lot has been written about Aamir-SRK fights and reconciliations. Recently at ‘Got Talent World Stage Live’ when Shah Rukh was asked if he had any talents “under his belt”, SRK jokingly said, “Now it’s getting vulgar…I thought we were talking about the PK poster.” As if this was not enough, when a reporter asked him about his opinion on the poster and “if nudity has come off age”, he lightly remarked “You are telling it to me, don’t go there and say that’s a talent.”
On other occasion, during the launch of ‘Happy New Year’, on being questioned about ‘PK’ poster, Shah Rukh replied, “ Abhi hum bhi kar rahe hai, bina kapdo ke poster…sab ke saath. (Now, we’re also going to have a nude poster with the entire cast).”
During the launch of the second poster, Aamir was in his usual witty mood. The media personnel bombarded him for his views of Shah Rukh’s comment of nude HNY poster, Aamir diplomatically hit back on the actor. He said, “When people start digging a well for others…you know what happens…(they end up falling in the well).”
He even joked about Salman Khan saying that he wanted to challenge his friendship and hence released the naked poster. “In Dhoom 3 when I was wearing a hat, Salman carried it off throughout the Bigg Boss season, now that I have posed naked, I want to see what happens next.”
With the actors aggressively organizing events for their round the corner films, we need to sit back and watch the events unfold.
