CSS Corp rolls out digital literacy programme phase II in Tamil Nadu

Programme aims to help students from class 11 and 12 achieve computer literacy

Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Technology support provider CSS Corp has rolled out the second phase of its digital literacy programme. It aims to train 550 students in Tamil Nadu.

The corporate social responsibility wing - CSS Corp Foundation, is conducting the programme, which helps students from class eleven and twelve achieve computer literacy, city-based CSS Corp said in a statement.

The curriculum focuses on providing hands-on training on the usage of smart computer tools like Microsoft Office packages. Emphasis will be to make students digitally literate and help them use computers as an academic aid, it said.

According to CSS Corp Chief Human Resources and Executive Vice-President, David Raj, in the first phase the company trained 500 students of class nine and ten.

"To ensure the programme is success, we evaluate the students at the end of the programme. Second phase is now targeted at 550 students..", he said.

During the 40-day training programme, students would be trained, by experienced trainers, and periodical assessment of students would be conducted, it said.
