Windows 9, presently under codename Windows Threshold, will be available for download somewhere between September and October this year.
According to ZDNet, Microsoft could be sharing the technology preview edition of the Windows Threshold operating system in the next two months. According to their sources, who did not wish to be named, Microsoft will be making the next Windows operating system to the entire world and not only to developers alone.
A report on SoftPedia stated that Windows 9 will be available for free to all those who are interested. It is not yet sure if Microsoft will place a trial period limitation on it. The report further added, ‘Microsoft reportedly wants to keep the original testing build running on all computers and deliver frequent updates as it advances with development work.’
