K Chandrasekhar Rao ready to give land on city outskirts for hospital and university

The land has been promised to Swaminarayan Gurukul

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao promised to provide land to Swaminarayan Gurukul for establishing a university and eye hospital in Hyderabad.
He also expressed his desire to visit Aksharadham temple and their Gurukul educational institutes in New Delhi soon.

Mr Rao gave this assurance when representatives of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Interna-tional School, Hyderabad — Devi Prasad Swamy, Sarwamangala Swamy, Nischala Swamy — called on him at the Secretariat on Thursday.

The delegation requested the CM to allot land for establishment of Swaminarayan Gurukul University in and around Hyderabad as well as a place to establish an eye hospital.

The Chief Minister suggested that they locate the university a little away from the city in view of the congestion due to presence of several institutes.
Mr Rao told them that he would identify a suitable place for this purpose shortly.

Conveying their Swamiji’s blessings, the representatives told the CM that Swaminarayan Gurukul in India has been working since the last six decades to keep up and preserve India’s heritage, culture, tradition and values.

Gurukul Group of Educational Institutes has more than 30 branches in five states including in Telangana at Hyderabad and in the USA.
Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao, Deputy Spea-ker Padma Devender Reddy, Adviser to government K.V. Ramanachary, principal secretary to Chief Minister N. Narsing Rao were present at the meeting.
