Is Alia Bhatt keeping a tab on Deepika Padukone?

Alia says she's interested in 'Finding Fanny' because Arjun Kapoor is a part of it

Mumbai: The back-to-back success of Alia Bhatt’s films has put her in the top league.

The 22-year-old is now competing with bigwigs like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

With “100 crore” being the benchmark of success these days, actresses are on their toes when it comes to competition.

At a recent brand event, Alia Bhatt was seen enquiring about the reactions to the trailer of Deepika Padukone’s next film Finding Fanny.

Then she even got curious about Dippy’s under-production film Tamasha that is being directed by Imtiaz Ali.

“Alia was asking about the progress of the first schedule in Corsica. She explained that her interest in Finding Fanny was owing to her ‘good friend’ Arjun Kapoor who’s also a part of the film. But soon the conversation veered to the business of her last few films in comparison to Deepika’s films,” says an eyewitness.

Despite her efforts to shadow her curiosity, it was clear that Alia is very interested in the goings on of Deepika’s professional life.

“Alia has always been curious about everything around her. She likes to talk but her conversations are never malicious. If it’s competition, then so be it. Tell me one actress who doesn’t check on her rival,” says a close associate of Alia.
