Mumbai:Sahil Phull, who is now known as Ashfaque from Uttaran, admits the acting bug bit him very early in life. “I always wanted to be an actor. I entered theatre in Class VII with a play called Ek Tha Gadha Urf Aladad Khan. In Class IX, I did a play for National School of Drama called Raja Nanga. But because my parents were keen on me being an engineer, I completed my engineering degree and got back to acting. I have worked as an assistant director on the sets of television series Betiyaan and Maayka before auditioning for Moti Gori by an Australian production house, which unfortunately never went on air. I, however, got hooked on to acting with it,” he says.
So how is it working with Krrip Suri Kapur and Tina Dutta, his Uttaran co-stars? “Both of them are very supportive and sweet. We established a strong bond within two days of knowing each other.”
