Rajeev Shukla slams Sachin Tendulkar over poor attendance in Rajya Sabha

Reports suggest that Tendulkar has five per cent attendance this session in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: While Sachin Tendulkar has always remained under scrutiny for whatever he did on and off the field, he would not have expected a criticism from Rajeev Shukla, an ex-IPL chief and Congress spokesperson.

Shukla, on Monday criticised the batting legend and actress Rekha over their poor attendance at the Upper House of the Parliament.

Rajiv Shukla was quoted as saying by a daily news channel “Why have you chosen to become a member of Parliament if you don’t attend?”

Shukla also said that he has spoken to Sachin last week that he should come, and he has promised. Rajeev Shukla hopes that both Sachin and Rekha will come. Rajeev Shukla added that Sachin has said that he will also come next session.

Reports suggest that Tendulkar has five per cent attendance this session. Sachin Tendulkar has been criticised for being present at various other events such as Wimbledon, Pro Kabbadi opening game during the last two months and that has not gone down well with many MPs.
