Police teams to nab Chota Bhai

Chota Bhai gang uses students, especially fluent in English, to transport red sanders

Hyderabad: Chota Bhai, the red sanders smuggling don, has left the cops with a big question. Teja, the B.Tech student who was arrested for transporting red sanders confessed that the wood was supplied to one Chota Bhai whom he had never seen. Chota Bhai is a don from Karnataka and is wanted by the police. He is into smuggling red sanders to Saudi Arabia via Mangalore. The police is also investigating if he has any links with D-Company.

Chota Bhai’s gang uses youngsters, especially students fluent in English, to transport the red sanders. “They thought that red sanders can be safely transported in vehicles driven by students,” said an official.

Police said teams are being formed to nab culprits like Prasad from the city and Naresh, Nayeem and Jakeer of Kadapa district. There are about eight stages in the smuggling. The red sanders are handed over to Chota Bhai in the sixth stage, who transports it to Bada Bhai in Saudi Arabia via Mangalore.

The police nabbed Teja Mohan alias Teja and his friend Vinayakaat Bahadurpura during a vehicle check. They recovered stolen cars from the accused which were used to transport the wood from Kadapa district to Kolar.

"Teams will be sent to track the other culprits. Once they are held, more details about Chota Bhai will be known. We are also taking the help of AP police to investigate the case," said Mr G. Pala Raju, DCP, CCS, detective department.

Cops are also investigating about the receiver 'Bada Bhai' in Saudi Arabia, and checking if he is anyway related to Mumbai underworld don and most wanted Dawood Ibrahim.
