Forum is gathering political support for their demand to set up capital in Rayalaseema

Hyderabad: The citizens forum led by former director-general of police C. Anjaneya Reddy is now rallying to gather political support for their demand to set up capital in Rayalaseema region as per the Sribagh pact.
The team on Tuesday met Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and submitted a memorandum seeking support.
“The location of capital shall be acceptable to all regions. The capital selection shall not lead to new controversy. As per 1937 Sribagh pact capital should be located in Rayalaseema and High Court in Coastal Andhra region. Kurnool was capital of Andhra State. Naturally now the capital has to go to Kurnool,” said Mr Anjaneya Reddy.
