Krishnaraaj, Ricky and Yash win second round

Krishnaraaj Mahadik leads championship by slender two point margin
Hyderabad: Krishnaraaj Mahadik, Ricky R. Donison and Yash Aradhya won the Senior Max, Junior Max and Micro Max category respectively won the second round of the 11th JK Tyre-FMSC National Rotax Max Karting Championship at the Airport Karting track, Hyderabad on Sunday.Mahadik of Mohites Racing drove an aggressive race to upstage his more illustrious teammates and emerge a clear winner in his category.
After two rounds, Mahadik is leading the championship points table with 71 points, followed by Ameya Bafna of Rayo Racing with 69 and Vishnu Prasad of Meco Racing tied with Dhruv Mohite on 65.In the Junior Max category Kush Maini was unlucky to miss out another win as he bumped into the tires in the final turn of the last lap and dropped two places to finish third as Ricky, who was the better driver on the day finished on top.
Kush, who hails from Bangalore started the race on pole position and was aggressive right from the start.He kept his cool despite Ricky closing-in on his tail. Ricky did grab the lead for a brief period in the race but Kush went deep into the curve and dipped into the corner to grab the lead again.But in the end Ricky made contact with Kush’s car and won the race.
The Micro Max category also saw a close battle between Yash Aradhya and Shahan Ali Mohsin, with Yash finally prevailing over his teammate.
