China army vandalises Indian tent

India is understood to have lodged a protest over the incident with China
New Delhi: In another transgression, Chinese PLA troops vandalised an Indian herdsman’s tent at Demchok in Ladakh a few days ago while Indian troops protested against tents put up by Chinese herdsmen at about the same time, again at Demchok but at another location there.
These issues were discussed at a border personnel meeting between the two armies three days ago, after which the Chinese herdsmen removed their tents. Demchok is in Indian territory, but the Chinese too covet it due to differing perceptions of the Line of Actual Control.
Defence sources said an Indian herdsman complained to Ladakh political representatives that Chinese troops vandalised his tent. The Indian herdsman apparently set up the tent during the day, and when he returned the next day, he found it vandalised. The incident occurred around five-six days
ago.
