Price rise stalls BJP’s Delhi plans

BJP-led NDA government is facing opposition onslaught over price rise
New Delhi: Price rise is one of the main reasons why a section of the BJP does not want to go for fresh polls anytime soon. BJP-led NDA government is facing opposition onslaught over price rise and party’s poll managers feel, price rise could dent its poll prospects if elections are held in the next three to four months.
Another reason for not going to the polls now is Aam Admi Party’s (AAP) vote share in assembly segments in Delhi during Lok Sabha elections. As compared to the last assembly elections, AAP’s vote share witnessed an increase of around four percent during general elections in May this year as compared to assembly elections held in December last year.
BJP’s newly appointed state unit president Satish Upadhayae had recently said the party has received no proposal on government formation.
