Maoists blow up railway track near Aurangabad in Bihar

Rail Minister Sadananda Gowda seeks report on the attack

Gaya: In yet another incident, Maoists blew up a railway track near Gaya, disrupting train services on Tuesday night. TV reports said that a Rajdhani pilot engine had been derailed.

Station master Nagender Prasad said, “We have just come to know about the incident. There was a bomb blast between Buraru-Ismailpur. They have tried to halt the train."

The incident occurred between Buraru-Ismailpur at 11:30 pm. However, train services have resumed in the area.

Earlier, on June 26, the New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express was derailed between Chhapra Kacheri and Goldenganj stations near Sonepur, leaving 4 persons dead.

Rail authorities had said that "suspected sabotage" was the prima facie cause of the accident.
