Hyderabad: After working out of a star hotel for months, Puri Jagannath has built a massive personal space, combining his home and office, at Jubilee Hills.

A source close to the director confirmed that an “elaborate and grand” office space had been built near Road number 34. The office (floor) space is around 18000 sft and an approximate Rs 20 crore went into it.

“It has everything related to film production. Besides equipment, the office is luxurious, with mini theatres etc.,” says the source.

Puri Jagannath, who is also known for his love for exotic animals, will also be moving all his furry friends into the new office.

Confirming the news, Puri Jagannath says, "Yes I have made my new office and named it ‘Cave’. Architect Kiran has designed it. This is my personal space to work and edit my stuff. Yesterday, I opened it. RGV, Prakash Raj and a few of my close friends attended the party."

The ‘home studio’ has been a dream for a long time. I and my architect worked together to make this home studio dream come true. It is a refletion of me. I can call it an office, home, resort or even a lounge,” he adds.

The building has incorporated a lot of stone which gives it a very rustic look.

The office space which will be open to his asst directors, writers is in the ground floor and Puri’s personal living space is on the first floor. The project took a little over an year to finish.

And the most intriguing of all the aspects, being the name itself, he explains, “This world is like a jungle. I feel like an animal in the jungle. I got my ‘cave’ to live in.”

Meanwhile, architect Jaya Kiran, who designed Puri’s ‘home studio’ says, “As far as I know, there’s no similar set-up anywhere in the city. While the ground floor has Puri’s office, the first floor has bedrooms, a bar and even a home theatre. And a lot of steel has been used along with California grey stone. The bathroom floors are all cemented and in black because that’s Puri’s favourite colour. The entire 18,000 sft building at Jubilee Hills Road No. 34, has been bought by Puri and it’s all about his own personality.”
