Hyderabad: Kajal Aggarwal has signed a Tamil movie opposite Dhanush for a hefty amount. Talking about the reason the actress was offered a huge sum for the movie, sources say that Dhanush, who is basking in the glory of VIP - Vela Illay Pattadaari and Raanjhanaa, wants to enter the Tollywood market and it was he who had insisted that the makers cast Kajal opposite him. Since the actress is popular among Telugu audiences, it would be easier for Dhanush to gain a foothold here if he acted opposite her.
Incidentally, his new film VIP too has caught the attention of producers in Tollywood after performing quite well at the box office. They feel it has good potential to be remade in Telugu with an actor who can pull off comedy with ease.
Critics say that the Tamil film is a perfect mix of entertainment, romance and drama. Time will tell who acquires the rights for the Telugu remake.
