Guntur to get AIIMS, says Andhra Pradesh Health Minister

In its Budget, Central government had proposed one AIIMS to be set up in AP

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh health minister Kamineni Srinivas on Thursday said the state will zero in on a site in Guntur for AIIMS to be set up. A Central committee is also expected to visit in a week, he said. He added that the criteria decided to set up the premier institute would be easy accessibility from all districts with rail, road and air connectivity. In its Budget, Central government had proposed one AIIMS to be set up in Andhra Pradesh.
