Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to raise Telangana state objections

His AP counterpart will raise the issues of proposal to fix 1956 as the cut-off year to determine nativity in Telangana

Hyderabad: While Telangana chief secretary Rajiv Sharma has prepared a comprehensive report on the objections raised by the Telangana government over giving powers to the Governor on law and order in the common capital area, withdrawal of power PPAs, merger of Telangana mandals in AP to facilitate Polavaram etc., his Andhra Pradesh counterpart I.Y.R. Krishna Rao will raise the issues of proposal to fix 1956 as the cut-off year to determine nativity in Telangana, denial of fee reimbursement to AP students and opposing “options” to employees to choose state of their choice.

Though the AP Reorganisation Bill has all the provisions to resolve the issues in case of disputes, both the governments have been at loggerheads trying to gain an upper hand.
