I was very hairy while growing up: Nicole Scherzinger

London: 'Poison' hitmaker Nicole Scherzinger has revealed she was teased at school because her mother did not let shave her legs.

The 36-year-old singer said she felt traumatised because she was very hairy while growing up, reported Contactmusic.

"All I know is I'm traumatised, because my mum would never let me shave my legs. She was very strict till a later age, and I was very hairy growing up, so everyone made fun of me for having hairy legs," she said.

Scherzinger said, though the taunts hurt her, she got over them quickly.

"There's worse things to be made fun of. Shave your legs and it's gone, you can't make fun of me any more," she said.
