Swash ‘BUCK’ling bachelor boys

Meet the world’s wealthy bachelor boys

Prince Albert II Maria Lamoral Miguel Johannes Gabriel von Thurn und Taxis (30)
Net worth $1.5 Billion

He has the blue blood, lives in his own castle Emmeram (a 500 room castle, 60 miles form Munich) in Bavaria and this isn't the first time that he has made an appearance in Forbes list of young billionaires. The first time that he made it to the list; he was all of eight after his father passed away in the December of 1990! Incidentally, though he belongs to a family of one of the largest landowners in all of Europe, this prince, who also found a place in the hottest young royals list of Forbes in 2008 is a racer. This adrenaline junkie regularly tours with the German League.

Jack Dorsey (37)
Net Worth $2.2 Billion

After dating British model Lily Cole, the co-founder of Twitter, is rumoured to be back with his on- and-off girlfriend Kate Greer after they made a very public appearance at the TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World event, at Jazz in Lincoln Center, New York, this year. For those who did not know, this punk, as he likes to call himself, is a certified masseur, and has sported blue hair and played with a few bands. But that’s not the only aspect that makes him desirable. He has a keen sense of fashion and is notably one of the most well-dressed tech tycoons with a slew of Prada suits.

Alejandro Santo Domingo Dávila (37)
Net worth $11.1 billion

Now this Colombian-American heir apparent to the Santo Domingo fortune is what we like to call, quite a catch. He has it all, the looks, the charisma, a degree from Harvard, is on the board of trustees for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and is very socially conscious as well. He works closely with The Nature Conservancy, a charitable environmental organisation in the United States and with the world’s largest registry of bone marrow donors. This man who has been rumoured to have been involved with the likes of heiress Amanda Hearst and Sports Illustrated model Julie Henderson, is quite the eligible bachelor.

Jon Oringer (39)
Net worth $1.35 billion

He is New York's first tech billionaire. His story is quite simple; he is a photographer, who started Shutterstock to sell his own photos. But soon he realised the demand was much higher and turned into an agent. Shutterstock wasn’t Jon's first venture for he has been an entrepreneur since high school. He taught himself how to strum the guitar so that he could teach others to make some quick bucks. However, after a while he realised that there was more money in fixing computers than giving guitar lessons. Incidentally, though this brown-eyed man has his own helicopter, which he flies himself, he still hails a cab to work. In May, he added a new feature to Shutterstock. The company will now be excepting music submissions as well.

Yoshikazu Tanaka (37)
Net Worth $1.6 billion

He is another example of a self-made billionaire. This Japanese businessman began GREE, a mobile social media company equipped with features such as social media, gaming, advertising and more as a hobby in his apartment. Back then, he was working with a e-commerce company and was funding his new business out of his own pocket. Ask him why he is still single and he says that he has no time for anything but his business. That said, the gaming enthusiast has apparently landed in troubled waters after an alleged lawsuit from a woman claiming he forced her to get an abortion.

Robert J Pera (35)
Networth $2.7 billion

He is a billionaire who loves basketball and is pretty good at it too. He quit Apple as a hardware engineer to start Ubiquiti Networks. But that’s not the only feather in his cap. He is the principal owner of the NBA team, Memphis Grizzlies, and he gave an open challenge to Michael Jordan for a one-on-one game, for the sake of charity of course. Born to parents who worked in public relations and business consulting, he grew up near San Carlos. He had to miss a year of high school due to a rare heart-valve infection. Nevertheless, he eventually bagged undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and Japanese, as well as a master's in electrical engineering, from UC San Diego, where he specialised in circuit design.
