Mumbai: After the massive success of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be sharing the screen again, this time in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha. The film is all set to go on the floors by the end of this week. The team will be shooting their first schedule in the French Island of Corsica. The film, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is slated to release next year.
We hear that Imtiaz and Ranbir, who are not just colleagues but very close friends outside work too, are having regular sittings to discuss the script at length. The director shares a good equation with Deepika as well as they worked together in Love Aaj Kal in the past, which was also a success.
A source close to the project said, “Both Imtiaz and Ranbir have been discussing the script at length for the past one month. In fact, as the shooting date is approaching, the meetings are getting longer. Their aim is to concentrate on every detail in the script to make it perfect.”
Ranbir appears to be very proactive as far as the treatment of the script is concerned. “He has given his inputs and made some changes in a couple of scenes. Imtiaz has gladly taken his suggestions. Both Imtiaz and Ranbir feel that had certain flaws in Rockstar been bettered, the film could have been a bigger hit. This time they are leaving no stone unturned to put in their best.”
