Mumbai: The latest office to join the popular social networking site Twitter is the top office Rashtrapati Bhawan, with the cover picture of the Rashtrapati Bhawan and profile picture of President Pranab Mukherjee.
The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, will sign the tweets by him on the twitter handle @RashtrapatiBhvn. “This is the official Twitter account of Rashtrapati Bhavan and is run by President’s Secretariat. Tweets from the President are signed – President Mukherjee,” says the description on the profile.
The President, who already has a presence on social media site facebook with 5.4 lakh likes, will be the first Indian President to be on twitter.
He has joined the social networking website much after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently the among the top 4 politicians to be followed on twitter with as many as 5.06 million followers.
