Stage set for launch of PSLV-C23 today

This is the 27th flight of PSLV in space

Nellore: Stage set for the launching of PSLV-C23 with French Earth Observation Satellite SPOT-7 and 4 mini satellites on board at 9.52 am on Monday from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Shar, Sriharikota, 90 kms from Nellore.

This is the 27th flight of PSLV and the mini Satellites it is carrying include 14 kg AISAT of Germany, NLS7.1 (CAN-X4) & NLS7.2 (CAN-X5) of Canada each weighing 15 kg, and the 7 kg VELOX-1 of Singapore.

These five satellites are being launched under commercial arrangements that ANTRIX has entered with the respective foreign agencies.

The countdown and propellant filling operations in the rocket are in progress.

As many as 42 rockets have been launched from Shar and 33 out of them are successful.

In case of PSLV, 25 flights are successful out of 26 and this is the 27th flight into the space.

Meanwhile ISRO Chairman Dr K.Radhakrishnan has offered prayers at Changala Parameswari Temple in Sullurpeta on Saturday night. Temple priests have received him with temple honors and offered him prasadam.
