New Delhi: Police detains Aisa activists who were protesting outside Parliament Street police station in the New Delhi demanding the President's intervention in ending the impasse over the four-year undergraduate programme outside Parliament Street police station on Thursday.

The UGC is likely to reject the new proposal by DU that suggested a panel of academics resolve the ongoing controversy. UGC chairman Ved Prakash met HRD minister Smriti Irani to brief her about the ongoing controversy, and the minister expressed her “displeasure” at the way things were being handled.
