Institution demanded more fees than fees decided on the day of admission

Vijayawada: A city court has directed Machavaram police to file a criminal case and hold investigation against a corporate school in connection with a private case filed in 2013 by one A. Ramalingeswara Rao of Visakhapatnam.

Sources said, Mr Rao, superintendent in central excise department, filed a case against P. Narayana, now the urban development minister of Andhra Pradesh and head of Narayana Group of Institutions and V. Suraiah, the principal of Narayana IIT Olympiad residential school in Moghalrajpuram. His son was admitted to the school in 2011 for a fee of Rs 85, 000 each for Class VIII, IX and X. However, the school management demanded Rs 90,000 in the second year.
