Mumbai: Was it karma? We hear Esha Gupta mistakenly punched co-star Saif Ali Khan, square on the face while shooting a dance number in their film Humshakals. The prankster in Saif played along and pretended to pass out.
A source close to the team said, “Yes, it so happened that Saif Ali Khan and Esha Gupta were rehearsing for a party number and while doing one of the steps, Esha’s hand hit Saif’s face in full force as the steps were high energy. Saif was knocked off his feet and he fell on the ground.
The actor, to capitalise on Esha’s mistake, pretended to have a blackout. The shoot came to a halt and Esha was a bundle of nerves. But Sajid too didn’t realise, it was a prank and the situation got a little too tense. That’s when Saif jumped back to his feet.”
Esha’s punch may have been unintentional but we wonder if the audience would want to thank her.
