Chandrababu Naidu promises houses to state staff in new capital

AP CM also lashed out at Congress for damaging the state administration

Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was given a red carpet welcome and showered with rose petals by Seemandhra employees when he visited AP Secretariat for the first time after being sworn in.

Addressing the employees, Mr Naidu promised new houses to all employees when they come to work in the new capital city in AP state. He also announced setting up a services ministry in AP state to deal exclusively with the service matters of the employees and also gave orders to chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao to extend the work contract of outsourcing employees by six months, up to December 31, 2014.

When Seemandhra staff working in the AP Secretariat led by their leader U. Murali Krishna told Mr Naidu that they were ready to come along with him to the new capital as early as possible and work additional hours, the CM assured them of building a new capital city on the lines of Singapore.

However, he made it clear that big cities like Hyderabad are not built overnight. Recalling how Japan overcame the World War-II attack and emerged as a leading nation and also Singapore’s development, Mr Naidu called upon the employees to take him along with them as a leader and work together.

Stating that he has a vision for development of a world class capital city for AP that could be achieved in 10 years to 15 years’ time, he lashed out at the Congress for damaging the state administration.
