Fire is the first smartphone from Amazon and runs on Android-based Fire OS

Amazon's new smartphone ’Fire’, features a 4.7-inch HD display, powered with Dynamic Perspective and Firefly technology. It is also includes a 2.2 GHz quad-core processor and comes wit 2GB of RAM. The 4.7-inch HD display comprises of a wide viewing angle, circular polarizer, and an industry-leading ultra-bright display at 590 nits, to making it easy to see in all lighting conditions, indoors and out. It has a 13MP camera with OIS and an industry-leading f/2.0 lens, which helps in better optical image stabilization. The Fire smartphone is powered by the latest version of Fire OS, which starts with Android and adds cloud services, a content-forward user interface, built-in media libraries, productivity apps, and platform enhancements to integrate Amazon's digital content and improve performance. Its Dynamic Perspective uses a custom-designed sensor system that responds to the way you hold, view, and move your phone. This technology uses four ultra-low power specialized cameras—the smallest globally shuttered cameras in existence—plus four infrared LEDs for invisible illumination, real-time computer vision algorithms, and a custom graphics engine rendering at 60 fps.

Its one-handed navigation and gestures like auto-scroll enables you to read long web pages and books without touching the screen. One-handed short cutsOne can access menus, shortcuts, and useful information with tilt, swivel, and peek.

  • Tilt for panels: use the left panel to navigate menus, and the right panel to access useful information and shortcuts, like attaching photos to a text message, viewing song lyrics, and more.
  • Swivel for access to important notifications and quick actions like Mayday, Flashlight, Settings, and more.
  • Peek keeps your display uncluttered by revealing additional details and quick actions only when you need it.

The Firefly technology of Amazon Fire smartphone can recognise printed web and email addresses, phone numbers, QR and bar codes, artwork, movies, music, and millions of products, making it easy to discover information, share items with friends, and more. It works in seconds—simply press and hold the Firefly button. Firefly also recognizes 245,00 movies and TV episodes, 160 live TV channels and 35 million songs, as per official reports.

This new handset enables users to have instant access to over 33 million songs, apps, games, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, magazines, and books, plus exclusive features like Mayday, ASAP, Second Screen, X-Ray, free unlimited photo storage in the cloud, and more.

Amazon Fire is fuelled with 2,400mAh battery and has 285 hours of standby time, up to 22 hours of talk time, up to 65 hours of audio playback and up to 11 hours of video playback.

The premium headset is ergonomically designed and technically tuned for amazing sound. The custom-vented, fluted design and a 13.98mm dynamic driver delivers extended bass and a balanced sound over the entire audio spectrum, resulting in clear voice calls, high-fidelity music, rich audio books, and immersive video. This smartphones also includes dual stereo speakers, and Dolby Digital audio helps in better quality sound.
