Mumbai: The Nifty hit a record high at 7,700 on Wednesday, while the Sensex also touched an all-time high at 25,735.87. The indices were trading 0.2 per cent higher.
Infosys Ltd gains 4.7 per cent on value buying. The BSE IT index is up 2.6 percent. Wipro Ltd is up 1.4 percent, while Tata Consultancy Services Ltd gains 1.2 per cent.
Among drugmakers, Cipla Ltd gains 1.7 per cent, while Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd is up 0.8 per cent.
However, shares of L&T Finance Holdings Ltd were trading 4.2 per cent lower after the company set a floor price at a discount of 9.7 per cent to its Tuesday's close.
