Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her much-awaited appearance on the Cannes red carpet on Tuesday. The actress sported a gold strapless mermaid gown, designed by Roberto Cavalli, which flattered Aishwarya’s stunning figure.
Everybody was gaga over her red carpet look including hubby Abhishek, who tweeted ‘Almost 52hrs without sleep! Eyes shutting… and the Mrs. Shows up looking like this!! Ok.. Eyes wide open now!’
But, as much as Aishwarya was praised for her looks, she was also criticised for picking something out of American actress Kristin Chenoweth’s wardrobe. Kristin had worn the exactly same gold strapless Roberto Cavalli gown to this year’s Academy Awards.
