10.10 lakh students clear SSC exam in Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad pass percentage was 77.29 per cent, down from 78.13 per cent last year

Hyderabad: Out of the 12.14 lakh who had appeared, over 10.10 lakh students have cleared the SSC exams this year in the state, the results of which were announced on Thursday.

As many as 5,784 schools secured 100 per cent results, while 77 schools got “zero per cent”. Of these, 55 are in private sector and 14 are in the government sector. Meanwhile, the bifurcation of the SSC Board by June 2 will not affect the SSC supplementary exams in June in both the states.

Common exams will be held, but the valuation of answer scripts will be done state-wise.

Hyderabad continued to lag behind in SSC results despite several measures taken by the district administration to improve performance. The city stood second from last in the results table with a pass percentage of 77.29 per cent, down from 78.13 per cent last year. The city performed better only to Adilabad, which recorded the state’s lowest pass percentage of 58.31. Seemandhra districts fared better than Telangana. The lowest pass percentage in Seemandhra was 85.37 in West Godavari. East Godavari topped the state with the highest percentage of 96.26.

In Telangana, Warangal stood at the top with 94.54 per cent pass percentage. The state's average pass percentage was 88.62 this year. It is marginally higher over 88.08 last year. The supplementary exams will be held from June 16 to June 28 from 9.30 am to 12 noon. The due date for payment of exam fee is May 30.

Students who want recounting must pay Rs 500 per subject within 12 days from the date of the results through DDs from SBH/SBI in favour of “Secretary to the Commissioner for Government Exams, AP, Hyderabad” and send it to the SSC Board in person or by post.

For re-verification-cum-supply of valued answer booklet, students must pay Rs 1,000 per subject at respective DEO offices. DDs will not be accepted.

4,085 students secure 10/10 GPA in SSC exams

Students of Sri Chaitanya Techno Schools created a record in SSC public exam results anno-unced on Friday with 566 students securing 10 out of 10 Grade Point Average (GPA).

While 4,085 students across the state have achieved this feat, of them 566 students were from Sri Chaitanya alone. Besides, another 2,510 students from Sri Chaitanya secured GPA of 9.8 and 10,661 students securing GPA of over 9 points.

Dr B.S. Rao, chairman and Ms Seema, academic director, Sri Chaitanya Group, said the integrated techno syllabus devised by the group helped students perform better in SSC besides preparing for competitive exams like JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), Eamcet etc. simultaneously.

In school-wise category, 80 students from aided schools secured 10 GPA, 13 from government schools, 8 from municipal schools, 3,784 from private schools, 11 from residential schools, 2 from social welfare schools and 190 from zilla parishad schools.
