The film that is a mix of comedy and mystery, is expected to release in 2015.
The film that is co-produced by Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee Productions is in its final stages of shooting.
Director Dibakar selected Sushant as Byomkesh for the movie as he believed that the actor looked 'very quiet, self-absorbed and withdrawn', all that was essential for the role.
Lisa tweeted this photo and wrote "If I imagine any harder will I really be shooting with @itsSSR at #falaknuma?"
Dibakar Banerjee's film is an interpretation of war torn Calcutta during the 1940's and follows the first adventure of Byomkesh, fresh out of college, as he pits himself against an evil genius who is out to destroy the world.
Looks like Sushant has grown out of his boyish characters and is sporting a mustache in the detective movie.
The actor was also spotted wearing a dhoti, kurta and jacket on the movie sets.
