Chennai: Master Mahendran, who grabbed the attention of movie buffs as a child artist years ago, debuted as the main lead in the film, Vizha. Now, this promising young actor has started shooting for his next film, titled Viraivil Isai, directed by debutant Prabhakaran.
Mahendran says, “I play the role of an assistant director who struggles hard to make a film. For him cinema is everything in life. He has a close friend whose dream is to make it big in cinema as a music director. The story revolves around their friendship and passion for filmmaking. My character in the film even abandons his girlfriend to become a director,” he says.
The shooting of the film began at Kodambakkam this month. The female lead for the film is yet to be decided.
The music of the film is composed by debutant M. S Ram and cinematography is by Shiva.
