Lokesh Nara predicts 147 seats for Telugu Desam Party

Naidu’s son presents ‘intelligence report’, warns against Jagan

Tirupati: Nara Lokesh, the son of the Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu, has claimed that the party would form the government in the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh with a thumping majority. Quoting an “intelligence report”, Mr Lokesh said that the TD would bag 147 Assembly and 22 MP seats in Seemandhra.

Mr Lokesh concluded his state-wide tour at Tirupati just as the curtains came down on the campaign phase in the Seemandhra region. The Telugu Desam supremo’s son, who held impressive road shows at Satyavedu in the afternoon, reached Tirupati in the evening and held a rally through the arterial roads and addressed people at Leela Mahal junction.

At the very beginning of his address, Mr Lokesh presented his survey report. He also placed two options before the people to choose from. He asked them if they wanted Mr Naidu, who has pledged to turn Seemandhra into Swarnandhra and Navyandhra, or did they want YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who would sell Seemandhra and buy Singapore.

Criticising the YSRC chief, Mr Lokesh pointed out that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had looted public money and amassed wealth to the tune of Rs 1 lakh crore just by misusing his father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s position. He warned that all “hell would break loose” if Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy became the CM.

Listing out the poll promises in the Telugu Desam manifesto, Mr Lokesh said the comprehensive manifesto addresses the issues of youth, women, farmers, minorities and all other sections of the society.

Saying that the Telugu Desam manifesto was a promise for development, Mr Lokesh urged people to vote for the Telugu Desam to ensure that the state gets back on the development path under the able leadership of Naidu-Modi combine. Much to the crowd’s pleasure, he also delivered dialogues from the film Narasimha before winding up his tour on Monday.
