Mumbai: It is not uncommon to bump into transgenders of eunuchs at traffic signals on a daily basis. What was unusual was when a group of them became part of a public service announcement to create awareness to wear seat belts.
In this unique initiative by the SeatBelt Crew and according to www.scoopwhoop.com, the group of transgenders or eunuchs delivered a lesson for safe driving. Hijaras usually exchange cash for blessings in return, in this case it’s different as they became part of a beautifully portrayed public service announcement.
“Hey naughty girl, tell your boyfriend to wear his seat belt,” definitely caught the attention of many, as eunuchs dressed in blue gathered at a traffic signal to convey the message.
