Mayawati makes personal attack on Samajwadi Party supremo

Azamgarh: Attacking Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, BSP chief Mayawati on Saturday alleged that he was contesting from Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat only to “please his second wife”.

“There is a dispute going on in Mulayam’s family. He is contesting from here (Azamgarh) to please his second wife and pave way for their son Prateek Yadav,” she told an election rally here.

On Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav referring to her as his ‘bua’ (aunt) at a recent public meeting in Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati said that it would be an “insult” even to consider Akhilesh as her younger brother.

Mulayam sure of 3rd Front in power

Allahabad: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday claimed that a Third Front government would emerge as the “strongest possibility” after declaration of Lok Sabha election results. Addressing an election rally here, he said “voters must not get deceived by those who say that only UPA or NDA could form a government at the Centre and support the Samajwadi Party in Lok Sabha polls would be a waste of votes.”
