Sharmila refutes Telugu Desam charges

Ms Sharmila launched a counter-attack by stating that the TD was making baseless allegations

Ongole: YSR Congress leader Sharmila, on an election campaign in Darsi, refuted allegations about illegal allotments of land to her kin and said the government had sanctioned those as per norms.

Addressing a public meeting there on Tuesday, Ms Sharmila launched a counter-attack by stating that the TD was making baseless allegations about the land allocation. She clarified that the government had allotted land for industrial development purpose and that they did not violate any law to procure lands. She alleged that some newspapers and news channels are partaking in false propaganda against their family.

Ms Sharmila further alleged that TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu had himself allotted lands to his benamis and was levelling unjustifiable accusations on her. She warned that real NTR fans will not pardon Mr Naidu for betraying his father-in-law NTR and they would support YSRC for Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s credibility.

Ms Sharmila said Naidu is showing false love towards farmers by promising agricultural loan waiver to get votes.

The people of residuary AP would once again experience the golden rule of YSR soon after their party comes to power, Ms Sharmila promised and held Naidu responsible for the state’s bifurcation. She alleged
that opposition parties would question the government for its anti-public policies but Naidu never donned the role of opposition leader by colluding with TD. Ms Sharmila appealed to the public to cast their ballot
in her party’s favour which would usher a welfare state by bringing in swift development.

Reading aloud welfare schemes started by YSR, Ms Sharmila feared that TD would not implement any welfare schemes and moreover cancel present welfare schemes due to Naidu’s corporate ideology. Asking
for support for her brother Y. S. Jagan in the present elections, she predicted Jagan would become the Chief Minister of the state.

Darsi YSRC candidate, Buchepalli Sivaprasad Reddy, former MLA, Subba Reddy, YSRC district convener, Nuksani Balaji and other leaders addressed the gatherings. Earlier Ms Sharmila addressed another huge
public meeting at Yerragondapalem asking to vote for YSRC Yerragondapalem aspirant, P. Davidraju.
