Chennai: The long wait has finally come to an end. Filmi circles and social networking sites were abuzz with the news that Lingaa was chosen as the title for the Rajini-K.S. Ravikumar project, which has Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka playing the female leads.
It was reported earlier that the movie is a mythological thriller with the Superstar essaying dual roles. A source close to the film earlier said that the name Lingaa is being considered and that no official confirmation was received from the director on it.
However, the maverick director posted on his official Facebook page later that the crew zeroed on the title Lingaa.
Interestingly, name of Rajini”s grandson, who also happens to be the son of Dhanush and Aishwarya, is also Lingaa. The ardent fans of Rajini and movie buffs opine that the movie falls under fictional genre, and hence the title.
Rumours are rife that Tollywood actor Jagapathy Babu will be playing an important role in the film. A.R. Rahman is composing tunes for the much awaited flick.
