Now Jagan Mohan Reddy plans copter campaign in Telangana

YSRC chief to focus on seats which the party is likely to win

Hyderabad: YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to go on a whirlwind tour of Telangana from April 25. Mr Reddy will be using a copter to campaign for candidates in Khammam, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Mahbubnagar.

The party chief’s sister Sharmila’s tour ended recently on a successful note. To keep the momentum going, Mr Reddy has now decided to focus on seats where the YSRC has chances of winning.

Sources in YSRC said, “Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy did not tour the Telangana region so far, except the Khammam district. Now the party is confident of winning at least 1-2 Parliament seats and around 6-8 Assembly constituencies. Ms Sharmila’s campaign was received well. So Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy will be taking up campaigning in the areas where likelihood of winning is good.”

Meanwhile, YSRC candidates in Telangana are not happy about the party not funding the candidates.

A candidate said, “The party hasn’t supported us financially so far. The candidates are spending from their own pockets to fund their campaigns.”
