Vivek Oberoi gives voice to evil

The actor talks about his latest project, playing a baddie and about his son
After striking box office gold with projects like Grand Masti and Krrish 3 last year, Vivek Oberoi’s next project is the Amazing Spider Man 2. Vivek has voiced Jamie Foxx’s part for the Hindi version.Vivek, who was a fan of comic book heroes during his childhood, recounts, “I grew up reading comics and watching superheroes on TV. I would excitedly swap comics with my friends so that we didn’t miss a single edition. It’s sad that today children don’t enjoy reading comics as much”
Despite his chocolate boy image, Vivek, now seems to be enjoying playing the bad guy. “That’s a good thing, isn’t it? Don’t girls love bad boys?” the actor says with a laugh, before adding, “But yes, it’s been a long time since I have done a romantic role. If an offer comes, I will take it up.”While that would certainly please the actor’s fans, one person who won’t be watching any of Vivek’s films at least for a little while is his year old son Vivaan Veer. Vivek says his son is too little to be interested in films, although, “When he sees me on TV or in the newspaper, he points at it and feels happy to see his dad! He gets confused and is fascinated as well, as to how I’ve entered that little box,” Vivek says.
Surprisingly, Vivek’s managed not to expose his son too much to the media’s gaze. However, the actor says that’s more due to the restraint the media has shown in his case. The actor has also been spotted campaigning for mother in law Nandini Alva does he have any intentions of joining politics anytime soon? “Not for now,” is all he says.
