Hindi film 'Titli' in Cannes' Un Certain Regard

Kanu Behl's Delhi-set drama 'Titli' has been selected at the 67th Cannes International Film Festival

Cannes: Kanu Behl's Delhi-set drama 'Titli', about a man's struggle to escape his family business of a violent car-jacking brotherhood, has been selected in UnCertain Regard section at the 67th Cannes International Film Festival.

The film, which has backers in Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee, stars Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial and Shashank Arora. The Cannes film festival, which runs from May 14 to 25 this year, will open with out of competition YRF's 'Grace of Monaco', starring Nicole Kidman in the titular role.

The section, which runs parallel to the main competition, recognises the different and original work by up and coming directors.

The section's opening film is 'Party Girl'. The category includes Hollywood star Ryan Gosling's directorial debut 'Lost River', 'Tourist', 'Show In Paradise', 'The Salt of the Earth', 'Run', 'Jauja', Incompresa', 'Fantasia', 'Charlie's Country', 'The Blue Room', 'Bird People' and 'Amour fou'.

The other out of competition films include 'Coming Home', 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' and 'Les Gens du Monde'.
