Congress leaders flock to YSR Congress

In last 3 days, there has been an influx of leaders from the Congress and the TD into the YSR
Hyderabad: Two MLAs, Jaya Chandra Reddy alias C.K. Babu from Chittoor and Karumuri Nageswara Rao from Tanuku joined the YSR Congress on Wednesday.
Film director Kodandarami Reddy also joined the YSRC in the presence of party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the city.
In the last three days, there has been an influx of leaders from the Congress and the TD into the YSRC. Another leader from Anantapur, O. Venugopal Reddy, also joined the YSRC.
Mr C.K. Babu, a close confidante of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, had won the Chittoor constituency as an independent, and won thrice earlier on a Congress ticket. Mr Babu said, “Only YSRC can implement the welfare schemes of late YSR.”
Film director Kodandarami Reddy, hailing from Mypadu in the Indukurpeta mandal of Nellore district, is the director of several blockbuster films starring Balakrishna. “It is because of the immense respect I have for YSR, that I have joined Y.S. Jagan. I will work hard to ensure the success of the party in the upcoming elections,” said Mr Kodandarami Reddy.
In a another setback to the Congress in West Godavari district, Tanuku MLA Nageswara Rao also joined the YSRC. He was the ZP chairman in West Godavari.
Meanwhile, YSRC’s Jana Bheri will resume on April 12 after the ZPTC and MPTC elections on April 11.
