The actor denies having bodyguards beside him

After wrapping up the schedule of Haider, when Shahid Kapoor was on his way back to Mumbai from Srinagar, the star went totally unrecognised. “There was a lay over at the Delhi airport. I didn’t have any bodyguards and didn’t require them either,” he says with a laugh.
His new look has helped him move around the city of Mumbai without the fear of getting mobbed by his fans. “I think it’s great fun to just move around without being recognised. As celebs, one doesn’t get that liberty often. But it’s great fun to be on my own, without being followed by my bodyguards,” he adds.
As of now, Shahid is busy rehearsing with Farhan Akhtar for an upcoming awards function. “I’ve hosted a show earlier with Farhan, but I have so much more to learn from him.”
