India's Galaxy S5 version is more powerful than global variant

AnTuTu tests reveal Asian S5 to be more powerful than the international variant

As we all know that the Samsung Galaxy S5 prepared to launch in India this week. But there are some of you out there who might know that Samsung has developed two variants of the Galaxy S5, just like it did with the Galaxy S4.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has two variants—one that features a Snapdragon 801 chipset and the other that incorporates the Exynos 5. While the Snapdragon chipset will have four processors clocked at 2.6 GHz, the Exynos version has eight cores; four clocked at 1.9 GHz and the rest at 1.3 GHz. The graphics processors are also different in the two—the snapdragon chipset uses the Adreno GPU, and the Exynos chipset uses a MALI GPU. India and other Asian countries will receive the Exynos variant, while the Snapdragon variant will be available internationally.

A test conducted by Auzul Chowdhury, featured on GSMArena reveals that the Exynos variant is definitely faster than the Snapdragon version, especially in the CPU department.

The Exynos version scored 38,000 points over the Snapdragon version, which scored 36,000 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark app. Below are a few other details of the test.
