Movie Review 'Legend': Nandamuri Balakrishna is back with killer punches

The movie has good performances, sound technical elements, interesting screenplay

Mumbai: Nandamuri Balakrishna has teamed up with director Boyapati Srinu in his latest movie 'Legend'. The film released worldwide on March 28 and the actor is making an appreance on the big screen after two years.

The talking point of the film is the effortless performance by Nandamuri, which is a combination of romantic action and a mass entertainer. The storyline has been used a lot earlier but the director has managed to keep the audience hooked till the end. Fans of Nandamuri have a lot of reason to cheer about as the film looks very rich with great prodution values.
The film is fast-paced with introduction scenes of the character played by Balakrishna making his entry in a chase sequence in Dubai. The first half of the film is full of punch dialogues.
He is also the driving force of the film and Radhika Apte too stands out in her role. Sonal Chauhan only adds glamour to the film. Keeping the entertainment quotient live is the films dialogues are great.
The story goes something like this: Krishna (Balakrishna) lives in Dubai, while his family is in India. His grandmother is against him settling in India. Krishna falls for Sneha (Sonal Chauhan) and comes to India to seek the blessings of his grandmother.
As soon as he arrives Krishna strikes up enmity with Jitender's (Jagapathi Babu) son. What follows next is a roller-coaster action show, with generous dollops of sentimental scenes thrown in.
Audiences have said Balakrishna and Jagapathi Babu's performances, dialogues, powerful action and emotionally-charged scenes are the major highlights of the film. On the flip side, Brahmanandam's comedy appears to be weak, some said.
Devi Sri Prasad’s music is soothing to the ears and fits well with the flow of the scenes. Other departments too have done a great job.
