Rajdeep Sardesai tweeted about the actress' death and started it all

Mumbai: On Thursday, Twitter was abuzz with RIP messages for actress Asha Parekh, that spread within a span of an hour.
People started to take it more seriously when cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar and senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai posted about the actress' death.
Though the cricketer deleted his tweet immediately, Rajdeep Sardesai, apologised later, tweeting, "Deep apologies; now told my info on Ms Parekh passing away is wrong, Picked it up from a tweet. Apologies to all and esp to her."
It turned out to be just another rumour that went viral on the social networking site.
Actress Adah Sharma was quick to react and took to Twitter saying, "Asha Parekh is hail and hearty! Just spoke to her! Stop spreading rumours."
A day after veteran actress Nanda passed away, there were rumours about singer Lata Mangeshkar suffering from a heart attack. Later that night, the singer clarifed that she was perfectly fine.
